SECTION 2: SYSTEM OPERATION

 

2.1 Alarm On/Arm

 

1. Press and release the transmitter button #1 after you exit the vehicle.

2. One-chirp sounds and a parking light flash will verify alarm on.

3. Doors will lock (If optional keyless entry has been installed).

4. Visible theft warning LED light will flash slowly.

 

NOTE: If you hear four chirp sounds, the system has detected an open door condition or faulty sensor. If faulty sensor or faulty door pin is detected, the system will ignore these zones until restored (Zone bypass).

 

AUTO RE-ARM:

 

SS-300H model has Auto Re-arm feature. Auto Re-arm feature will arm the unit if a door is not opened within 20 seconds of disarm operation.

 

PASSIVE MODE:

 

If the system is in Passive Mode (Automatic Arming Mode),

 

1. Close the door. There will be a 20 second arming delay. (If interior light is connected or has a factory delayed interior light, arming will start after interior light has turned off.)

2. The LED will flash rapidly during a 20 second arming delay. At any time during a 20 second arming delay, you can always press and release transmitter button #1 to arm manually.

3. After a 20 second arming delay, alarm will arm automatically.

4. One-chirp sound and a parking light flash will verify this operation.

5. Doors lock.

6. Visible theft warning LED light will flash slowly.

 

2.2 Alarm Off/Disarm

 

1. Press and release the transmitter button #1 before entering the vehicle.

2. Two chirp sounds and two parking light flashes will verify alarm off.

3. Doors will unlock (If optional keyless entry has been installed).

4. The LED theft warning light will stop flashing.

5. Interior Light will turn on for 30 seconds. (If installed)

6. The LED is active as test signal for sensors.

 

Note: If you hear three chirp sounds, the system has been triggered and the alarm was activated while you were away from the vehicle. Please refer to following chart. This diagnostic report will turn off when the ignition switch is turned on.

2.3 Personal Protection Alarm (Panic Alarm)

 

1. Press and hold the transmitter button #1 for approximately three seconds.

2. Personal Panic alarm will be activated and siren will sound and parking lights will flash for three minutes. Then shuts off automatically.

3. Press and release the transmitter button #1 to cancel the panic alarm.

 

 

 

2.4 Trunk Release Option

 

1. Press and hold the transmitter button #2 for approximately two seconds.

2. Two chirp sounds and two parking light flashes will verify the trunk release operation.

3. Trunk release solenoid will unlatch the trunk automatically. Alarm will disarm at the same        time.

 

 

2.5 Emergency Key Disarm (If you lost your remote and can not start your vehicle or turn off the alarm)

 

To turn off the system without your remote control,

 

1.With your vehicle key in the key cylinder, turn it on. (On means driving position.)

2. Press and release the valet switch 4 times.

3. The system will disarm immediately.

 

Note: In passive mode, if an Emergency Key Disarm was used to disarm the system, 10 seconds entry delay feature engages automatically to give you sufficient time to use Emergency Key Disarm procedure to disarm (turn off) the system without triggering the alarm. This feature turns off automatically when the transmitter is used.

 

2.6 Valet Mode (Keyless Entry Mode)

 

To turn off all security features and use the system as keyless entry,

 

1. With your vehicle key in the key cylinder, turn it on. (On means driving position.)

2. Press and hold the valet switch for 5 seconds.

3. One chirp sound and a light flash will verify the Valet Mode.

4. The LED will flash short-long flashes.

5. To exit from the Valet Mode, repeat step 1 to 3. Two quick chirp sounds and two parking light flashes will verify the operation.

 

SECTION 3: USER PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES

 

3.1 Permanent Reprogramable Factory Code (Code Pre-Programmed By Factory)

 

When the Dealer installs the unit he programs your unique code, which is in permanent memory. Any Authorized Dealer can add a new or an additional pre-coded transmitter and delete an existing code from memory.

 

To program a new code (This will delete all previous codes in the memory),

 

1. Turn the ignition on then off 5 times. Then on 6th time turn the ignition on then leave it on.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the button #1 of new transmitter.

3. If you have additional remotes to program, press and release the button #1 of 2nd transmitter. Press and release the button #1 of 3rd transmitter. Unit receives up to 3 different transmitters.

4. Turn off the ignition to exit code program mode.

 

Note: Module will accept (3) three different transmitters.

 

3.2 One Time Soft Chirp

 

Arm/Disarm chirp can be temporarily softened from your remote transmitter.

 

To use one time soft chirp,

 

1. Press and release the transmitter button #2.

2. Press and release the transmitter button #1 or #2 for desired function.

Example: To arm the system with soft chirp sound, press and release the transmitter button #2 first. Then press and release the transmitter button #1.

 

 

3.3 Permanent Siren Chirp Enable/Disable (Factory default setting: Chirp Enable)

 

Arm/Disarm chirp can be permanently enabled and disabled from your remote transmitter.

For PERMANENT SIREN CHIRP DISABLE or ENABLE,

 

1. Turn the ignition on. Ignition on means normal driving position

2. Press and hold the transmitter button #2 for 5 seconds.

3. SIREN CHIRP DISABLE is confirmed with one siren chirp sound and one parking light flash.

SIREN CHIRP ENABLE is confirmed with two siren chirp sounds and two parking light flashes.

4.1 Passive/Active Mode (Factory Default Setting: Active Mode)

 

Passive arming with passive lock mode means that the system will automatically arm and lock the doors 20 seconds after the ignition key is turned off and the last door of the vehicle is closed (If last door closed arming is enabled - See 4.4.

Otherwise, 20 seconds after the ignition key is turned off). Sometimes referred to a Automatic Arming.

 

Active arming mode means that the system will not arm until you manually turn it on by pressing the arming button on your radio frequency transmitter. Sometimes referred to as Manual Arming.

 

For PASSIVE or ACTIVE MODE,

 

1. Turn the ignition on. Ignition on means normal driving position.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the transmitter button #1, #2, #1, #2 in succession.

3. PASSIVE MODE is confirmed with one siren chirp sound and one parking light flash.

ACTIVE MODE is confirmed with two siren chirp sounds and two parking light flashes.

 

CAUTION: If the automatic door lock feature is installed and the system is programmed to passive mode the doors will lock automatically when the system arms. It is always advisable to remove the ignition key each time you exit the vehicle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.2 Drive Lock Mode (Factory Default Setting: Drive Lock Off)

 

Drive Lock Mode means that all doors will lock automatically two (2) seconds after the ignition key is turned on and will unlock automatically when the ignition key is turned off. This assumes that your Dealer has installed the keyless entry option, sometimes referred to as Ignition Lock.

 

For drive lock mode change,

 

1. Turn the ignition on. Ignition on means normal driving position.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the transmitter button #1, #3, #1, #3 in succession.

3. DRIVE LOCK MODE ON is confirmed with one siren chirp sound & one parking light flash.

DRIVE LOCK MODE OFF is confirmed with two siren chirp sounds & two parking light flashes.

 

4.4 Last Door Closed Arming On/Off (Factory Default: Last Door Closed Arming On)

 

Last door close auto arming means that when you turn the Ignition off, close the last door it will automatically arm the system, also will lock the doors.

 

For LAST DOOR CLOSED ARMING ON or LAST DOOR CLOSED ARMING OFF,

 

1. Turn the ignition on. Ignition on means normal driving position.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the transmitter button #1, #2, #1, #3 in succession.

3. LDCA OFF is confirmed with one siren chirp sound and one parking light flash.

LDCA ON is confirmed with two siren chirp sounds and two parking light flashes

 

WARNING: If LAST DOOR CLOSED ARMING ON failing to remove the keys from the key cylinder after switching the ignition off, will lock your vehicle.

 

4.6 Reset to Factory Default

 

To reset all programmable features to factory default setting:

 

1. Turn the ignition on. Ignition on means normal driving position.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and hold the LED/VS switch for 15 seconds.

3. Reset to factory default is confirmed with three siren chirp sounds and three parking light flashes.

 

 

 

 

 

SECTION 5: TRANSMITTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

 

Recommended Battery: 12V - 23A

 

1. Remove the screw from the back of the transmitter.

2. Remove front cover, remove old battery carefully.

3. Replace with fresh new battery and close front cover.

4. Press any button, check for light flash from LED. (If no LED flash, change polarity of battery)

 

NOTE: Normal battery life is approximately two years, but varies depending on usage. For optimum performance and RF range, replace the battery at least once a year.

 

SECTION 6: LIMITED WARRANTY & SERVICE

 

6.1 Limited 12 Month Warranty

 

SS300H unit and their accessories are warranted to be free of defect in materials and workmanship.   In case of the products failure under a normal use situation within 12 months from the date of Purchase/Installation, please return the defective unit to the dealer for repairing on a free-of-charge basis.   However, customers might be charged for the cost of spare parts if the malfunction of system is resulted from the customer's carelessness or improper use of the product. This warranty does not include accessories externally installed..

 

Please be noted that the followings are not covered by warranty

Ø  If the siren horn is getting wet due to body damage of the vehicle or misuse.

Ø  Batteries, including those for the remote controller and the main unit.

Ø  The main unit is not operational due to customer’s repairing or replacement of parts by their own means or due to the fact that the unit has got wet or is burned by improper wiring.

Ø  Central locking motors, boot release actuators, engine immobiliser relays, etc.
